The weather ... more mixed sunshine and rain but getting noticeably colder. Had to scrape frost of the car windscreens yesterday morning.
I am wearing ... jeans that I would call dark green but the label calls "teal", navy long sleeve t-shirt, cream Aran cardigan (bought, not hand knitted), multi-coloured hand knitted socks which had been all but finished for months. I finally got round to Kitchener stitching the toe of the second sock.

I am reading ... The Happiness Equation by Nick Powdthavee (downloaded to my Kindle a while ago - a 99p deal of the day, I think)
I am creating ... nearly at the end of the Bedford sweater. just the top of the yoke and the neck to do.
I am listening ... to an Alan Hovhaness symphony on Spotify.
I am watching ... Downtown Abbey. Bit of an unexpected plot twist last night.
I am enjoying ... flavoured instant coffee I bought from this local business at the apple and pumpkin day on Saturday. I came home with small jars of Sweet Amaretto, Smooth Vanilla, Viennese Cinnamon, Bounty Island Cream (chocolate coconut) and Christmas Pudding flavours. They also sell chocolate covered coffee beans which I adore.
On the menu ...
Monday: Tevye and I are eating out, whatever I can find in the freezer for the girls
Tuesday: chicken and chips
Wednesday: frying steak with mushrooms and veggies
Thursday: pasta bake with meatballs
Friday: seasoned sole fillets, veggies
Saturday: vegetable soup
Sunday: roast beef
On the calendar ...
Monday: taking the day off work as it is my birthday. This morning Tevye and I went on the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and this evening we are going out for a meal (Chinese I think). My camera refused to recognise its memory card so had to take pictures on my phone - I'll post some later in the week.
Tuesday: parent-teacher meeting for Rosé
Wednesday: band practice
Saturday: going shopping for a new TV as an early Hannukah present for Tevye
Sunday: Helen has another gym coaching training session at Windsor. She was chauffeur for herself and two other girls last Sunday and drove on the motorway for the first time. More nerve wracking for me than for her I think!
A picture from last week ...

Our archive display was sharing a shed on Saturday with orchard experts doing apple identification. These were just some of the many varieties they had brought with them. Apparently over 270 different varieties have been recorded in the eastern counties of England!

Thanks for not elaborating on the unexpected plot twist - no Downton here until January! We're enjoying Call the Midwife in the meantime; have you seen it?
Love the photo of the apple identification. I'm so fascinated by the variety.
Plot twist -- ack!!! A very much looking forward to January when we can finally see it here in the US.
Love the apple photo. And, Happy Birthday!!
I remember taking photos of various apples at an apple day many years ago. Fascinating.
Glad the birthday was fun, the motorway driving was successful and hmm chocolate covered coffee beans...
