This white lion cut into the face of the chalk downs is a well known local landmark and marks the site of the rural branch of London Zoo. I didn't have an opportunity to take a picture but found this one on Flickr
(photo credit Today is a Good Day). On a clear day in winter we can see the lion from the upstairs windows at the back of our house. Too far for a photo though, and at this time of year the view is still blocked by trees. To you give you some perspective, the lion is 483 feet long - the largest British hill figure.
